Guest Post: Style Personality

“Fashion is suppose to be surprising.” I heard someone say that yesterday. They added in the word “classic” later.  I concluded if you stick to the classics and add your own spunk, you may surprise people.
Fashion is about expressing yourself. Sometimes what you convey can be “surprising.”
Discover your style.
The fashion industry tends to have a lot of carbon copies. People are not genuinely expressing themselves through their clothing. They are mostly coping a trend or something they saw elsewhere. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. However, how are you reflecting YOUR character or fashion sense when you continue to duplicate?
Below I have some suggestions to boost your discovery of your own unique style.

• When you dress up for events try to reference a different era in concordance with the event.
• Pick contrasting colors. Being too matchy is predictable.
• Pick a focal point. You don’t need to play up a million different things.
• Step out the box. Try bold prints or unique sleeves.
You’re a blank canvas draw away. Discover! Shop at unique boutiques or thrift stores. It’s so boring looking like everyone else. Step out of your style comfort zone.
